ADXL is a cross-channel audience targeting platform with AI-based optimization. Users can also customize audience targeting for individual channels, such as TikTok Ads. This article provides guidance on optimizing audience targeting for TikTok Ads using ADXL's custom targeting features.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Log in to your ADXL dashboard.
Select the campaign you want to optimize and click on it.
Go into the campaign admin and information page.
Under platforms, select TikTok.
Click on the Audience tab.
In the Audience Targeting Criteria section, ADXL offers three main areas of optimization for clear and easy use. Based on your input, ADXL will adjust the detailed options to set the best audience for your campaign.
1. Interest Keywords:
Click On “Add New Criteria” Button and select "Keywords,"
You will see the pop up where you can search keywords.
Enter the keyword/s, and press enter to search.
Select the keywords from the available list (ADXL will populate Keywords which are available for targeting on TikTok Only.
2. Hashtags:
Click On “Add New Criteria” Button and select " Hashtags,"
You will see the pop up where you can search hashtags.
Enter the word you want to find trending hashtags ( Enter without # Letters Only)
Select the Hashtags from the available list (ADXL will populate hashtags are which are available for targeting on TikTok Only.
3. Interest Categories:
Click On “Add New Criteria” Button and select "Add Categories"
ADXL will populate TikTok Interest Based Categories list
select the interest categories you wish to add.
Once you add one or more of these 3 options, click the green color “Save Audience” Button and save the audience

If you optimize only the TikTok audience and make changes to the targeting settings in the campaign builder for all channels, any individual optimization you previously did for TikTok will be replaced by the new targeting.
